Best driver title was awarded to Tamás Gender Junior at the first race at the Franciacorta Racing Track in Italy, which hosted the Campionato Italiano ACI Karting this weekend and will also host the FIA Karting World Championship in the first week of October.
The predictions are not only promising, but some of them have already been fulfilled for Tamás Gender Junior this weekend, as he has been able to set a very good pace in both dry and wet conditions at Franciacorta in recent weeks, at a professionally recognised race track that alternates fast and technical sectors. This has set the Hungarian karting driver up for better and better results in the coming races. The pace was good for the Hungarian Motorsport Academy-backed driver during the weekend’s tests. During the race weekend he was one of the fastest in his group on the wet track, while on the dry track he was 0.8 seconds behind the fastest driver in qualifying. After a good start in the first race, he improved his starting position by thirteen places to earn the Best Driver title.
In the second race he had no pace, but he managed to improve several places compared to his starting position. In the Repechage, he set the fastest time in the most technical sector two. This race also showed that the persistent work of Tamás Gender Junior and his team is going in the right direction, as he was able to hold second place behind his teammate. They fought for the first position for a long time while being caught by the rest of the field. - I learned a lot from this race weekend. I've gotten to know my team, Forza Racing, well and I hope to finish the remaining races with even better results - said Tamás Grender Junior at the venue of the FIA Karting World Championship in October.
