The final round of Champions of the Future for Gender Tamás Junior. This weekend, Tamás Gender Junior will compete in the fifth and final round of the 2023 Champions of the Future Euro Series in Franciacorta. Nearly 40 nations, 183 competitors in total, will compete in the OK-Junior category, which has perhaps never seen such a large field.
After Valencia, Trinec, Rodby and Cremona, the final weekend of the Champions of the Future will be held at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Italy this weekend, which will be a major challenge for the karting field. Not only because the same venue in Lombardy will host the FIA World Championship three weeks later, but also because the field has never been bigger in the OKJ category. A total of 350 competitors in the OK and OKJ categories will start this weekend, including Tamás Gender Junior.
Launched by RGMMC in 2020, the Champions of the Future series has become a must for the best international drivers and teams. Some of the world's biggest names have already won races here, some are racing now, so it was almost necessary for the Hungarian karting driver, supported by HUMDA Academy, to enter.
With its fast and technical sections and descents, the 1300-metre track of the Franciacorta Racing Track has earned its place as the most popular and professionally recognised venue in the international karting world. Tamás Gender Junior is no stranger to the track either, having competed in several international races and categories in Castrezzato. And in his last race at this Italian race track, he battled for several laps with the runner-up of the European Championship, so his motivation and determination, as well as his experience, should help him to achieve a successful race weekend.
