After the FIA Karting World Championship Tamás Gender Junior races in the most traditional tournament of go-karting, in the 51st TROFEO DELLE INDUSTRIE in Lonato, where the Hungarian go-kart driver had his debut in OKJ category one year ago. This time 244 drivers of 44 nations are competing at South Garda Karting, with 44 competitors in OKJ category. Race drivers of the major manufacturers’ teams fight with each other in this tournament with a history of more than 50 years, during which several drivers could get on top of the podium who later became prominent race drivers, like Lewis Hamilton, Jarno Trulli, Alessandro Zanardi, Gabriele Tarquini, Fabrizio Giovanardi, Ivan Capelli or Callum Illot. Jano Trulli had a great fight with Giancarlo Fisichella and became victorious in „Trofeo delle Industrie”, and later Fisichella managed to win as well. Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso competed here as well successfully, and spectators of “Trofeo delle Industrie” could also watch Nico Hulkenberg, Sebastian Vettel and Robert Kubica racing. Among the winners we can find Felice Tiene, the coach of Tamás Gender Junior as well, whose former racer, Nikita Bedrin managed to win “Trofeo delle Industrie” and now he is building his career in Formula racing. This is promising for the Hungarian go-kart driver supported by Hungarian Motorsport Academy, who is competing among 43 drivers in OKJ category as a member of Forza Racing at the weekend. – I’m going for the best result. I’ve collected lots of experience in the recent races and the World Championship of last weekend. I hope I can make good use of this knowledge in this prestigious race in Italy. – said Tamás Gender Junior, who has proven several times that he is highly determined to reach his goals.
