Soon to compete again

The first few weeks of this summer will keep Tamás Gender Jr. busy. He finished in the top 15 during the most recent WSK Series finals on the Italian circuit, La Conca. The Hungarian competitor achieved a decent result on one of the most difficult go-kart circuits in the world, Muro Leccese, despite suffering a rib injury during the 8th lap of the 16-lap race course. Proving his determination, Gender didn’t give up the round.

After the race, however, it turned out that his injury requires more serious treatment and rehabilitation. This is the best way to ensure his speedy and complete recovery, so that we can soon cheer him on again on the circuits. On the recommendation of Fit4Race, the Fájdalom Ambulancia clinic and Dr. Mátyás Magyar, an orthopaedic trauma specialist, he will undergo various effective rehabilitation treatments, and then he will slowly take on workload and resume his training. In the meantime, Gender spends his free time with learning, analyzing the upcoming race courses in order to minimize his disadvantage when returning to the racing season. There are many European circuits awaiting, including the English venue of the Karting World Championship. Before that, however, he will also have to reach perhaps the most significant professional milestone of his racing career to date, which we will of course report on soon. Gender spent the last weekend at the Hungaroring, the Hungarian Formula One race course, as the International GT Open Championship’s latest round was held there, with three major formula car races taking place. One of those was the FORMULA REGIONAL EU BY ALPINE Series, where our young racer was a guest of one of the competing teams this weekend.
